From <strong>1 January 2022<\/strong>, there will soon be only one: the official PDF form will disappear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Migrating to professional software<\/strong> is the next step for complementary medicine therapists who do not already have it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_row_1 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_1 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h2>Overview: Tariff 590<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_row_2 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_2 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Introduced on 1 January 2018 by the Complementary Medicine Insurers Group, Tariff 590 lists complementary medicine therapies, procedures and methods provided by therapists, with a corresponding tariff heading for each service. It also imposes a single billing format.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the introduction of Tariff 590 was to <strong>harmonise the billing of complementary medical services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On the one hand, by listing the services provided by complementary medicine therapists, this standard has made it possible to standardise the names of the various therapeutic activities in this sector throughout Switzerland. Thus, the various services provided by therapists are now clearly delineated for greater transparency.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the single billing format has led to <strong>more efficient processing of invoices<\/strong> and <strong>facilitates reimbursement by health insurers<\/strong>. Invoices are also easier to understand.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_row_3 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_3 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_3 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h2>Farewell to the form<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_row_4 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_4 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_4 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Already in 2020, the official PDF for the 590 invoice stopped being distributed or updated. Although it was still possible to use the existing PDF versions for billing complementary medicine services, <strong>the validity of these forms is coming to an end<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>Thus, any therapist who does not have professional software that supports Tariff 590 will be <strong>unable to bill from 1 January 2022<\/strong>.
