Features

Collection management

MCA Books allows you to index all types of books and documents, with barcode management, to establish your catalogue or inventory. Simple or multi-criteria searches can be carried out in the book database.

The software also includes online catalogue management allowing customers to search and/or reserve one or more books from your collection.

The item records contain the various information specific to each title: bibliographic information, shelf, stock, movements, purchase or borrowing history, etc. This allows you to reconstruct the history of your collection.

For distribution, you are able to manage your inventory by location if you have multiple storage sites.

Monitoring of loans and sales

The software takes care of customer management with the follow-up of loans, reservations, orders or purchases, loyalty or library cards and discounts, but also the follow-up of the various interactions with the customer.

For loans, you manage the borrowing of documents with :
– tracking of loans and returns, with reminders for due dates,
– management of reservations and extensions,
– management of library cards and fines.

For sales, you manage your sales with one or more cash registers, integrated with the ERP. The cash register includes the management of discounts, gift vouchers and loyalty cards.

Each transaction is recorded in the software, allowing you to view your sales in detail.

For distribution, you can easily manage your orders from creation to delivery, with real-time tracking of each order.

Through a private account, your customers can view information such as the status of their order, the due date of their loan or the history of their purchases, loans or invoices. They can also perform various actions such as extending a loan or reserving or ordering a particular title.

Planning

Among other things, schedule and planning management allows you to plan the schedules of your employees and to organise different tasks and allocate them to your workforce.

Schedules include the management of loan deadlines and delivery times. Reminders let your customers know when their order has arrived or when their loans are due.

Stock management

Stock overview allows you to monitor the status of your stocks and manage procurement accordingly. You also manage the acquisition of new books.

For distributors, you have the possibility to spread your stocks over different locations. The software then allows you to manage your stocks by location.
