Management software for structural steelwork

Optimise the management of your steelwork projects with a dedicated all-in-one software. Manage all of your sites: quotes, invoices, schedules and material orders, while keeping control of your budgets and deadlines.

A common software foundation for every trade

The MCA-Kalé and MCA-Colibri business solutions are built on a common architecture, designed to meet the essential needs of any professional activity, whatever the sector. This foundation is organised around three main families of features: ERP, CRM and CMS, which together cover operational management, customer relations and document production.

Beyond this common foundation, each solution can be enriched with additional modules, specifically developed to meet the particularities of each business sector. With over 100 modules available, MCA-Kale covers a wide range of trades and gives every practice, firm or company a tool perfectly adapted to its specific needs.

Access governanceUser and access management makes it possible to steer and secure the whole ERP, CRM, CMS system by organising user accounts, defining custom profiles and controlling access rights. It ensures that each employee only has the features and information matching their role, while guaranteeing full traceability of the actions performed.
The foundation of operational managementThe ERP module is the core of the tool, with logistics, invoicing and accounting management. It also includes an HR module dedicated to payroll. This building block, shared by all users, guarantees reliable and centralised management of the company's administrative and financial flows.
Customer relationsThe CRM module handles the whole customer relationship: sending e-mails and letters, booking appointments, managing the schedule, sending SMS and newsletters, receiving customer requests, as well as a ticketing system to track requests related to logistics or invoicing.
Document managementThe creation of documents customised to business needs: letters, contracts, forms, questionnaires, while also generating usage statistics.

Designed for steel construction

Design, costing and bills of materials

Each job is studied, costed and described part by part before reaching the workshop.

  • Jobs managed with the architect, the engineer and the technical office
  • Calls for tenders and bids: specifications, descriptions, quantity surveys, work packages, variants and options
  • Technical office:
    • general arrangement, detail, shop and erection drawings
    • construction details and connections
    • design calculations and data sheets
    • drawing versions, revisions and approval
  • Component library: sections, plates, tubes, flats, angles, bars, cut or machined parts and fasteners
  • Multi-level bills of materials: finished structure, sub-assemblies, parts, lengths, weights and hardware
  • Automatic take-off of lengths, surfaces, weights, offcuts and scrap rates
  • Full cost price:
    • materials and labour
    • welding and machining
    • treatments and subcontracting
    • transport and erection

Materials, offcuts and traceability

Metal materials are managed with their specific characteristics and tracked through to the installed structure.

  • Management of steel, stainless steel and aluminium by grade, dimension, length and weight
  • Material certificates, heat numbers and batches recorded on receipt
  • Stock of sections, plates, bars and tubes by depot and by location
  • Reservation of materials for a job and restocking
  • Offcut management:
    • remaining length or surface
    • reservation and reuse
    • cutting optimisation
    • reduction and recovery of waste
  • Material purchasing with supplier comparison, negotiated prices and lead times
  • Full traceability: from the material batch to the manufactured part, then to the assembly, the structure and the site

Fabrication, welding and inspection

The workshop has clear production orders and each operation is tracked through to final inspection.

  • Production orders with parts, quantities, bills of materials, materials, machines and operators
  • Routings: cutting to length, sawing, cutting, drilling, bending, machining, welding, grinding, assembly and finishing
  • Progress tracking of each operation in the workshop
  • Welding management:
    • welding processes and weld types
    • welders and qualifications
    • WPS and WPQR procedures
    • consumables and welding times
  • Dimensional, visual and weld inspections, tolerances, non-conformities and reports
  • In-house or external treatments: galvanising, powder coating, painting, metal spraying and sandblasting
  • Tracking of shipments to and returns from subcontractors, with lead times and costs
  • Production planning by machine, team and welder, with capacity and bottleneck management
  • Hours per job, part and operation, with comparison between planned and actual hours
  • Maintenance of saws, press brakes, machining centres, welding stations and overhead cranes

Logistics, erection and invoicing

Structures are prepared, delivered and erected on site, then invoiced according to progress.

  • Preparation of structures: part identification, grouping by site, palletising and labelling
  • Delivery notes, transport documents and loading schedule
  • In-house or external transport, with drivers, vehicles and delivery tracking
