Features
Management of transporters / vehicles / containers
You list all your vehicles, containers and carriers in the database. You fill in the vehicle files with the description, type of vehicle, size, and other characteristics, the container files with the description, type of container, size, GMV, and other characteristics, and the carrier files with the personal and contact data and other relevant information.
The fleet tracking system allows you to monitor the condition of each vehicle/container and to plan preventive maintenance, including the recording of kilometres driven and/or time of use for vehicles via the Tracking module.
MCA Shipping integrates a schedule management system allowing you, among other things, to check the availability of your carriers and vehicles in order to allocate them to future deliveries, but also to plan the preventive maintenance of your vehicles.
The software can be connected to air and ocean carrier platforms to simplify the sending of freight requests and shipping instructions.
Customer order management
You associate each customer with one or more goods in the software. Customer data is expanded, starting with personal data, followed by contact data, billing data and customer-specific operational details. Merchandise data is also expanded to include description, item type, quantity, associated tariffs and regulations, sender and receiver and other characteristics.
You have a complete overview of the customer orders for the processing of each order.
All information relating to a customer (quotes, invoices, history, complaints, etc.) is grouped together in a file to optimise customer management.
MCA Shipping allows you to manage the various transport documents (loading manifest, consignment note, sea bill of lading, AWB, waybill, customs documents...), whether they are documents generated by the software or external documents. Within the software, text and layout templates simplify the creation of new documents.
Shipment planning
You plan the transport of goods by allocating deadlines and times as well as carriers and vehicles/modes of transport according to availability.
You define and organise the route for each expedition, including departure and arrival points, border crossings and other key points.
To keep track of your shipments, the Tracking module's geolocation system allows you to consult the status and position of your vehicles or containers on a dynamic virtual map.
You can thus know the progress of the deliveries in progress and adjust if necessary the routes of your carriers in the event of unforeseen circumstances (diversion, traffic jam...).
Trip histories and activity reports provide details of past interventions, such as the route taken, loading or unloading time or fuel consumed, helping you to optimise the routes of your drivers' next deliveries.
This data also helps you to accurately predict the time of arrival of a vehicle at its destination, allowing you to provide reliable information to your customers or other stakeholders.
MCA Shipping's Guest Access module provides customers with a portal that can be used to consult various information and documents (status of shipments, invoices, etc.) directly online.
Goods storage
MCA Shipping also enables you to manage one or more storage sites for the temporary storage of goods.
You benefit from a graphic interface, plan or image, in the software to visualise your storage site as a whole, with management by floor, by department, etc. This way you can easily and efficiently manage the storage locations in your warehouse or other structure in real time via the interface.
You generate the storage locations and detail for each one its name, characteristics and associated storage parameters. When goods are to be stored, you assign customers and goods to a storage location.
Information related to customers and their goods can be consulted directly in the visual interface by selecting the assigned locations.
MCA Shipping helps you to manage the entry, transfer or exit of goods and guarantees the traceability of goods. The software allows you to print custom barcodes for labelling goods.
Text and layout templates simplify the preparation of storage and shipping documents.
Invoicing
You can easily generate invoices for your transport and logistics services according to the rates and conditions defined for each order/customer, with a professional layout defined by you.
VAT management is easy because it is integrated into the software and can be configured according to the standards in force. Other taxes or discounts may be added, for example discounts for regular customers.
Unpaid invoices are managed within the software and reminders are as easy to use as the invoices themselves.
Accounting
The accounting is integrated into your management: no need to re-enter all the data for the various balance sheets. MCA Shipping integrates all accounts and manages inputs, outputs and expenses.
Employee management
Employees are also integrated into MCA Shipping, and salaries and related deductions can be defined.
Hours can be managed in different ways: either with fixed hours, with a stamper connected to the software or with manual time entry.
Holidays, paid leave and justified or unjustified absences are all integrated and can be set up according to your rules.
Report
Management reports allow you to analyse the data collected by the software. You can format them as you wish to remove the elements that interest you.
For example, you can evaluate the average duration of transport operations or measure the cost of transport on sales.
Communication with customers
You have the possibility to generate automated emails and sms to communicate with your customers or other contacts about your services.
This way you can easily inform your customers about the arrival of their goods at the delivery point and send delivery confirmations.
